At NEW-API, we aim to create a dynamic online community for women entrepreneurs across the ASEAN-Pacific-India and beyond, enabling them to share expertise and access new markets. We endeavour to promote knowledge exchange and facilitate access to resources necessary for business growth and sustainability.
Our Story
The ASEAN-Pacific-India region is home to a vibrant community of women entrepreneurs who drive innovation, create jobs and contribute significantly to economic growth. However, these women often face unique challenges when it comes to market access, funding, digitalization, capacity-building, resource-sharing, finding mentors, business growth, networking and collaboration.
We believe that the Network for Entrepreneur Women in ASEAN-Pacific-India (NEW-API), a regional alliance that aims to foster connectivity, collaboration and growth for women entrepreneurial organisations, councils and associations is a much needed platform for today.
This transformative initiative was founded by:
The founders embarked on this groundbreaking partnership after participating in the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework for Prosperity (IPEF) programme from October 6 to 19, 2024, in the United States. The exchange programme, sponsored by the United States Department of State, provided the platform to foster collaboration and innovation, ultimately leading to the creation of NEW-API on 18 October 2024.
Each founder has extensive experience and expertise in business and entrepreneurship matters related to MSME (Micro and Small Medium Enterprises).
